This session concerns the study of the acoustics of sacred spaces such as churches, mosques, places of worship generally located outdoors and in confined spaces (even caves). The purpose of the session is to discuss the effects of acoustics in these environments and how the acoustics influence perception and participation in religious services. Experiences relating to the acoustic correction of these environments can also be presented.
Gino Iannace is an associate professor at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli and qualified as a full professor in 9C2 (ING-IND 11). Ph.D. in environmental acoustics, active in the field of Acoustics, with interests in all its aspects and in particular in environmental acoustics and acoustic properties of materials. Innace carried out research through collaboration on national and international projects. He has participated in numerous national and international conferences. He is a reviewer for multiple journals and editor of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. Iannace has more than 30 years of professional experience in the acoustics sector carrying out action plans, acoustic zoning, noise maps, and various acoustic impact assessments.
